Galveston event rental, party rental and wedding rental

Buchanan Gallery is a unique event rental space located on Galveston Island, in the Downtown Historic District. Built in 1874, the 1,400 square foot interior is enhanced with soaring 15 foot ceilings with exposed beams and stained concrete floors. To accentuate the openness of the space there are large expanses of plate glass windows on two sides of the corner building. The outside walkway sports a 12 foot balcony for protection from the elements and the overflow of guests. The space is perfect for small gatherings of up to 100 people and can accommodate a buffet table, seated dinners or cocktail receptions.

The gallery is available for wedding, party and corporate rental after 6:00 p.m., Thursday through Monday. Our fine art exhibitions provide a unique backdrop for events. While art on perimeter walls must remain intact, users have the option of reconfiguring the movable interior walls (on casters) to suit their needs.

Ample street parking is available in the downtown area.

Alcohol may be served at Buchanan Gallery in moderation. We reserve the right to close the bar(s) should we deem it necessary in order to protect the facility, artwork, and safety of the guests. Bartenders must be licensed or certified and will obey laws, state and federal, pertaining to the serving of alcohol. Alcohol may not be sold.

• $150.00 Per hour with a 4 hour minimum rental
• $50/ hour/ staff member (BG requires one to two staff members be present during the event)
• $250.00 cleaning deposit (refundable)
• $25.00 Incidentals Cleaning Kit (non-refundable)

• Catering kitchen available
• Unisex bathroom with large mirror and granite counter top
• Preparation and storage area available
